QA / QC Clothing Technologist Wanted

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a growing and well-established clothing manufacturing business looking to add a QA Technologist / QC to their team of 3 (business much larger).
DUTIES:
- Conduct fit sessions in-house and at retailers’ sites (when permitted), balancing speed and quality; make confident commercial decisions; own the fitting process and inspire trust from colleagues and suppliers.
- Analyze technical issues accurately and communicate clearly with suppliers; process samples promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with Design, Merchandising teams, and suppliers to provide technical guidance on new product development, aiming to reduce costs and improve quality.
- Ensure compliance with fibre labelling regulations, product safety, and REACH legislation; manage testing and resolve non-compliance issues effectively.
- Deliver continuous improvement and innovative solutions.
- Perform grading; use PLM interface with suppliers.
MUST HAVES:
- Recent experience as a fashion Clothing QA or QC in a fast-paced high street clothing supplier or retailer.
- Multi-product experience, able to switch between product areas confidently.
- Solid experience working directly with factories, including workflow, production control, machinery, and equipment.
- Good understanding of garment construction, fabric technology, and testing.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong IT skills: Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Keen to learn childrenswear and problem-solving skills.
- Eligible to work long-term in the UK.
- Pattern-cutting knowledge and practice; knowledge of grading and grade rules is a plus.
