Our client, a leading consultancy, is looking to recruit a Part Time Qualified Accountant to join their busy team in Daresbury, Cheshire. The business collaborates with HMRC and assists clients in claiming tax relief for Research and Development within their business. The role offers a pay rate of £20-£25 per hour, working 3 days per week, with options for remote or hybrid work.
The successful candidate will gather relevant financial information from clients or their accountants related to qualifying R&D activities, format this information into a claim, and submit it to the client and HMRC for approval.
Communication with clients is mainly over the phone and email, with liaising with their accountants. Proactivity in requesting information and following up within set timescales is essential.
The role involves working with a range of businesses, from SMEs to large corporates with over 500 employees. Experience with charities would be advantageous.
The work hours are flexible between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, with some flexibility around deadlines. The company supports remote work or office-based work according to preference.
