It’s been a great start to 2025 for our growing Manchester based clothing manufacturing client and with this expansion comes the hire of a new Product Developer to join their dynamic and innovative team! They are looking for a Product Developer with a passion for transforming creative ideas into high-quality, high street ready products. This is the perfect opportunity for you.
The client prides themselves on designing and producing high street fashion that is trend-led, commercial and has a huge amount of repeat business. As they continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Product Developer to work closely with the design, production, and sourcing teams to bring our product to life for the high street retailers they provide for.
Duties:
- Attend customer meetings, help to take design and order briefs and discuss any issues that may arise with the Buyer, Account Manager and Technical Team.
- Work alongside the account manager for timely approvals in line with the critical path.
- Review the customers packs sent by the customer and create a range planner.
- Request any missing information from the customer.
- Brief the packs along with the size specs, testing requirements, packaging and range planner to our factory highlighting sample requirements, date required and request prices.
- Check the samples tracker and ensure that the samples are on track.
- Check lab dips on receipt and send to the customer, chase in the comments.
- Check all submissions are as the tech pack once received, review with key stakeholders and submit to the customer, chase in comments.
- Work with the tech team to ensure submissions are in tolerance.
MUST HAVE TO BE SHORTLISTED:
- Previous and recent experience in fashion product development in Menswear at a high street supplier or high street retailer.
- Experience working with buyers and attending briefings.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with suppliers.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, or similar tools is a plus.
- Commutable to Manchester town centre and eligible to work in the UK.
