Are you a Costs Draftsman or qualified Costs Lawyer looking to progress your career? We have an exciting opportunity to join a top tier, national law firm which is expanding its costs team. Our Client is a leading litigation firm which is involved in many high profile cases.

You’ll be involved in the preparation of Bills of Costs for Detailed/Provisional Assessment as well as litigation of bills through the Court process. You may also be involved in advocacy at Court if required and as agreed with the Costs Partner. As part of your role you will interact with clients, providing advice and taking instructions throughout the case. You will also provide technical support to fee earners.

About You

  • Essential
  • A minimum of 2 years experience either in house or for an external supplier of Costs
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in costs law
  • Excellent knowledge of legal procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across the business
  • Desirable:
    • Financial or legal qualifications e.g.: ACL qualification, ILEX Part 1 Year 1
    • Experience in one or more legal departments
