Are you a creative high street Womenswear Designer with a passion for jersey? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established and growing fashion supplier in Central London. Following recent team expansion, the business is looking to welcome another talented designer to support its continued growth. With a strong reputation and longstanding relationships with leading UK and European retailers — including supermarkets — this is a chance to play a key role within a highly respected team.
The Role
As a Womenswear Designer, you will drive the creative development of casual jersey ranges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing commercial womenswear (and some girlswear) jersey collections inspired by up‑to‑date trend research
- Creating accurate technical specs and supporting factories through the sampling process
- Managing critical paths and seasonal calendars to ensure timely delivery
- Producing high‑quality CADs and presenting concepts directly to buyers
What We’re Looking For — Essential Criteria (the must haves)
- Recent, proven experience designing young womenswear jersey product for a UK high street supplier
- Confidence presenting collections to buyers and key accounts
- Managing less experienced team members
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and visual
- Strong commercial awareness and a sharp eye on high street trends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: organised, adaptable, and collaborative
- London-based and fully eligible to work in the UK
