A leading, fast‑paced clothing manufacturer is seeking an experienced Womenswear Garment Technologist to join their expanding technical team. Working across multi‑product categories and a wide range of fabrications, this is a fantastic opportunity for a confident womenswear garment technologist who thrives on responsibility, product variety and collaboration with design, production and offshore manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop multiproduct items across Woven, Denim and Jersey fabrications for Ladieswear and Girlswear.
  • Work across an extensive range of product categories including: Outerwear, Tops, Sweats, Joggers, Leggings, Woven Bottoms, Dresses, Blouses, Separates, Knitwear, Loungewear, Swimwear, Jackets, Polo Shirts, and T‑Shirts.
  • Collaborate closely with Designers on new ranges, ensuring accuracy in styling, fit and garment construction.
  • Attend and lead fit meetings, providing actionable technical guidance and solutions.
  • Help oversee Quality Control for all production orders, ensuring standards are maintained at all stages.
  • Amend patterns based on fit comments and development feedback.
  • Work with factories on pattern cutting and grading via computerised systems.
  • Create and maintain full Technical Sample Packs and Production Workbooks for all new styles.
  • Ensure all fabric testing and lab reports are completed and correct care label information is advised.
  • Optimise sampling and production systems to improve workflow both in-house and offshore.
  • Maintain and monitor the Critical Path, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Work and support offshore QC teams, ensuring AQLs are completed correctly and on time.

About You - A shortlist of must haves

  • Significant and recent experience as a Womenswear Garment Technologist with a focus on womenswear in a multi‑product environment either working for a high street supplier or high street retailer.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fit, construction, fabrics and manufacturing processes.
  • Confident pattern‑cutting and pattern‑amending skills.
  • Experience working with offshore factories and managing QC processes.
  • Highly organised, proactive and detail‑focused with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
  • Commutable to London and eligible to work in the UK.
