We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Costs Draftsperson to help build and develop an internal costs function within an ambitious and expanding law firm.
The Role
You will be responsible for preparing and managing bills of costs, costs budgets, schedules, points of dispute, and replies, while supporting negotiations and ensuring compliance with current legal standards and procedures. You will work closely with fee earners and stakeholders across the business, contributing to process improvements and supporting a variety of Housing Disrepair matters.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous claimant or defendant costs drafting/budgeting experience
- Proven experience drafting bills of costs and costs budgets
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A good understanding of the legal claims industry
