We are working with a leading high street fashion supplier known for delivering on-trend, high-quality womenswear to both high street fashion retailers and supermarkets. They pride themselves on creative innovation and commitment to delivery on their customer’s needs. Joining them will be continuing in shaping the future of Girlswear high street fashion with designs that inspire the high street.

They are seeking a talented and experienced Girlswear Designer to join their well-established multi product team. As a Girlswear designer you will be responsible for creating trend-driven multi product collections (Woven and Jersey mainly) that fall in line with a varied customer base and their target audience.

The candidate selected will be designing and developing Girlswear collections from concept to final product, ensuring they align with the companies customers’ expectations, have a strong understanding of developing and sourcing new fabrics, be able to create detailed specification sheets and request patterns, be involved in customer meetings, work with sales teams and other departments, and keep up to date with emerging fashion trends in Girlswear. Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify key shapes, colors, and fabrics that will drive the next season’s collection.

MUST HAVES TO BE SHORTLISTED:

  • A degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Solid and recent experience in designing multi product girlswear and recently worked with either a high street supplier or high street retailer.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software.
  • Strong knowledge of fabric properties, garment construction, and pattern making.
  • Track record of presenting to buyers.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for Girlswear fashion and design.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • UK based and eligible to work in the UK for 5 or more years.
