We are looking for an experienced Relationship Director to join our client’s growing team. This is a hybrid role, ideal for someone with a strong network in the property finance sector who thrives on building relationships, structuring deals, and driving new business. Due to office location, it would be ideal if the suitable candidate lived in Reading, Surrey, Oxford, or Amersham.
As a key member of the team, you will manage and grow a panel of introducers, whilst also working directly with developers and property investors. You will be responsible for sourcing new lending opportunities, structuring deals, and guiding transactions from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring a seamless process for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Leverage an existing network of development finance contacts to generate new business.
- Manage a portfolio of brokers, introducers, and direct clients, ensuring strong engagement and repeat business.
- Identify and source new lending opportunities across bridging, refurbishment, and development finance.
- Cultivate long-term relationships, nurturing new and existing clients into repeat lending opportunities.
- Provide guidance on our product offering, ensuring introducers and clients fully understand available funding solutions.
- Stay up to date on market trends, competitor activity, and shifts in credit appetite.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and meetings to strengthen market presence.
- Ensure all loan applications adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
- Background in property finance—preferably development finance, but experience in bridging or refurbishment finance is also valuable.
- Proven networking and business development skills with a strong introducer and client network.
- Experience across residential and commercial assets; residential experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of credit risk and ability to analyse property project data.
- Ability to originate new business and convert opportunities into transactions.
- Comfortable working in a field-based role, meeting clients and introducers directly.
