We are working with a leading global clothing supplier who design and manufacture for a wide portfolio of retailers and well-known brands across menswear, womenswear and childrenswear. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Menswear Garment Technologist to join their established technical team of 5 based in London.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality menswear product across multiple customers/brands, ensuring consistency in fit, quality, and construction from development through to bulk production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage fit sessions, ensuring garments meet required standards for fit, quality and construction
  • Daily communication with suppliers and factories to support development and production
  • Ensure correct testing standards and methods are applied across all products
  • Review and approve test reports and AQL reports to maintain bulk quality standards
  • Develop and refine new and existing fits, ensuring accurate grading
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure the final product meets expectations for quality, design and fit
  • Manage and track critical paths, flagging any risks or delays to production teams
  • Assess new factory proposals, ensuring compliance with ethical and production requirements
  • Support the development of fabrics and trims
  • Liaise with distribution centres regarding any delivery or production issues
  • Review and approve care labels, wash instructions and symbols

About You – A list of must haves to be shortlisted

  • Previous and recent experience as a Menswear Garment Technologist be it with a high street supplier or high street retailer
  • Strong understanding of fit, grading, and garment construction
  • Experience working with overseas factories and suppliers
  • Confident managing multiple accounts and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commutable daily to London and eligible to work in the UK
