Salary starting at £13 per hour, increasing to £16 per hour as you learn, with a shift premium of £83 per week.

Hours: 39 hours per week, shift based.

Training provided on days.

Schedule:

  • During Training: 7:45 am – 4:45 pm Monday to Thursday, 7:45 am – 12:45 pm Friday.
  • Week 1: Monday to Thursday 6 am to 2:30 pm, Friday 6 am to 1:30 pm.
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday 2 pm to 10:30 pm, Friday 11:30 am to 7 pm.

The Role:

We are looking for a Saw Operator to assist with the manufacture of precision engineered parts. Previous saw operator experience is not required; we look for drive, commitment, teamwork, attention to detail, precision and pride in quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Load Kasto semi‑automatic saw with metal bars up to 6 m in length for cutting into shorter billets.
  • Use a 3 T overhead crane (training provided) to load material.
  • Calculate lengths of cut and quantities to minimise waste.
  • Ensure correct material is used, trace material batch through the process and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Set and operate the saw.
