This will be a key position within the business as we expect to grow to £5 M + in the next year. Mainly focused on the automotive industry, including F1, customer satisfaction through right first time, or how we respond to issues will be the overall goal.

Initially, the role will be very focused on inspection, getting used to our parts and processes. We use various pieces of equipment including hand tools such as mics and verniers, a Sylvac laser scanning shaft measurer, shadowgraphs, thread mics, inspection cameras, and checks with mating parts. You would be trained to use our laser etcher to mark parts.

We use various sub-contractors and inspecting their work, as well as supporting them to improve their performance, will be necessary. Inspection reports will need to be created on the PC and saved to enable them to be uploaded onto customer portals.

As the person progresses, and with training, we would hope they would take on customer communication, NCR replies, using customer portals, and concession requests. Further training and advancement within the quality area is encouraged.

The successful candidate will have some manufacturing experience, be very comfortable using IT systems and as our business works to short lead times, they will be expected to be quick in responding to questions/requests/issues and as a result will need to be able to cope with multiple demands on their time.

Working hours are 39 hours per week, on days. Exact hours to be confirmed, but a willingness to be flexible around the needs of the customer will be necessary. Pay is dependent on experience. We offer 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, company sick pay scheme after 6 months service and a great Christmas party.
