Responsibilities
The role of teaching assistant at DJS is a varied and valued role which is crucial to ensuring our pupils get the holistic support they need to thrive and progress. The role entails working across the key stage and includes a mixture of duties such as:
- Working 1-1 with specific pupils in line with their EHCP
- Delivering general class support
- Delivering English, Maths (or social, emotional, pastoral) interventions for small groups of pupils of all abilities as directed by the class teachers
- Providing timetabled support in the playground and leading activities at lunchtime

Qualifications and Requirements
Candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK. Must satisfy all safeguarding requirements; our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
