We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join our Customer team based in our Central Support Office in Lasswade. This is a customer focussed role responsible for bringing the brand to life across all areas of the store, delivering first class marketing communications that are on brand, commercially focussed and deliver a great in-store customer experience. This role has ownership of all aspects of our in-store marketing including delivery of all point of sale (POS), signage, in-store marketing print & collateral, in-store digital screen content, in-store radio and own brand packaging, as well as wider marketing requirements to support as required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and deliver in-store marketing campaigns across all areas of the store, localising these where required for stores with different offerings.
  • Work with the Brand team to understand and optimise the customer journey and touchpoints to maximise in-store experience and conversion.
  • Develop, manage & deliver the in-house briefings & timelines for all POS, signage, in-store print and other collateral, ensuring these are hardworking commercially as well as accurate and on-brand.
  • Develop, manage and deliver agency briefings & timelines for ad hoc signage, digital screen content and in-store radio ensuring these are hardworking commercially as well as accurate and on-brand.
  • Work closely with our content & photography team on key content creation, including lifestyle photography, cut out product photography and video content, for use across these key in-store channels.
  • Work with the Head of Campaigns & In-store communications to understand the customer plan, key commercial messages and gardeners’ calendar and bring to life in all of the in-store comms.
  • Work with the Horti team to provide inspirational content and easy to understand educational advice to achieve success in their gardens.
  • Work with the Commercial teams to highlight key ranges and products, newness and any product stories to help drive sales in-store.
  • Work closely with the Studio/Print Manager to ensure the POS quantity and specs are right and fit for purpose.
  • Manage and maintain the weekly POS guidelines and communications to stores to ensure first class execution and in-store compliance.
  • Conduct regular POS audits to ensure we are only keeping what we need to and if anything needs replaced due to damages or losses.

  • Strong planning, prioritisation, information gathering, data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines and to budget, with the ability to pivot to changing commercial priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident in building relationships throughout the business, including with store teams and with external agencies and suppliers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail across all areas of the role.
