Job Description:
- Monitor and supervise daily manpower planning in the Dishroom department.
- Train and monitor employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity at all times.
- Work with management staff to improve performance of the unit.
- Manage workflow, balancing the division of responsibilities amongst employees on each shift.
- Maintain all financial goals related to productivity, overtime, labour goals, and hours.
- Work with maintenance staff to ensure preventive maintenance of machinery according to schedules; report maintenance and repair issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct inventory of products and customer materials to ensure proper usage and minimisation of waste.
- Ensure employees adhere to HACCP, FDA, USDA, and safety regulations and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Strategically and effectively manage the team, ensuring that they are being developed, have direction, and are provided with meaningful feedback.
- Plan production in accordance with the daily schedule as well as an overview of all activities carried out in the production area.
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of working areas at all times for auditing purposes.
- Provide reports on productivity and other performance indicators to management.
- Take responsibility for all actions, support the team, and celebrate successes as a family.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing or food production.
- Previous experience in a similar role or experience within a fresh food industry related sector is preferred.
- Current or previous labour relations experience is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for high-end cuisine, love for food, and motivation to deliver exceptional service.
- Well presented, professional individual with a can-do, positive attitude that indulges in team success.
- The ability to be a positive change champion for the organisation.
