We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Manager to oversee daily food production operations within a fast-paced airline catering / outside events environment. The successful candidate will ensure that all desserts / pastries are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards while meeting strict client requirements.
- Manage and supervise daily food production operations for airline and events catering services.
- Ensure all production schedules are completed accurately and on time to meet client requirements.
- Coordinate staffing levels and labour planning to support operational demands.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control standards.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures.
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, dispatch, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Monitor stock usage, minimise waste, and support cost-control initiatives.
- Lead, motivate, and develop production staff through training and performance management.
- Conduct regular operational checks and resolve production issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and KPI tracking.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Production Manager or similar operational leadership role within catering, food manufacturing, hospitality, or airline catering.
- Strong understanding of large-scale food production and time-critical operations.
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience managing large teams and coordinating multiple operational priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
Food Safety Level 3 (preferred). Relevant operational or hospitality qualification (desirable). Right to work in the UK. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
