As DO & CO Lounge Manager you are responsible for the day‐to‐day operations of one of our Lounges. The role will include overall management of all personnel in the Lounge such as Food and Beverages, Finance, and the handling of external clients. The Lounge Manager will regularly ensure our customer's expectations are exceeded and ensure quality management through consistent weekly meetings with all teams.

We are looking for someone who has great leadership skills, is a great team player, and will enhance the Lounge operation by upskilling the team, and continuing to maintain a culture of excellence that is delivered day in and day out.

  • Plan, manage, lead, deliver, and present the food and beverages as per the food specification.
  • Manage, guide, and coach the assigned staff to ensure an efficient operation of the Lounge.
  • Manage and lead the Lounge team, which will include Lounge Hosts, Lounge Front of House, Lounge Chefs, and Lounge Supervisors. Ensuring the rota is completed, staff training, and operational management needs and requirements. Also to supervise the work completed to operate the lounge.
  • Delivery of training of all Lounge employees.
  • Ensure the quality of food and guest services. Hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness of all service areas achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with Lounge members whenever possible and appropriate to ensure they are the heart of the operation.
  • Manage compliance across the Health and Safety and Food Safety operations.
  • Continually bring added value to the contract through innovation and pro‐activeness.
  • Complete monthly reports for the client.
  • Provide solutions to operational airport challenges.
  • Financially manage the contract. Work towards achieving financial and non-financial targets.
  • Manage staff performance through regular one‐to‐one meetings and appraisals.
  • Attend meetings with Senior management, ensuring policies are in place to manage and contract stock levels.
  • Constantly analyse business trends and competitors to provide the best customer experience to our guests.
  • Manage any employee relations issues within the team.
  • Precise and accurate reporting to the Executive Team and Head Office.
  • Take responsibility for all your actions, support your team, and celebrate successes as a family.

Qualifications

  • Role model ability, leading a team, ready to roll up your sleeves and do what is needed to provide the best service with a problem‐solving mentality.
  • Experience in delivering and running a 5 star service operation.
  • Food and Beverage experience is essential.
  • Passion for high‐end cuisine, love for food and motivation to deliver exceptional service.
  • Well presented, professional individual with a can‐do, positive attitude that indulges in team success.
  • The ability to be a positive change champion for DO & CO, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programmes and strategies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data driven with the ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement and track DO & CO standards.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, mentoring and motivating, creating a team spirit, encouraging them to be at their best.
  • You are a clear and engaging communicator, strong written and verbal English, and will use a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
  • Flexible in the way you think, making decisions efficiently and handling change to ensure everything we do is right for our partners and the DO & CO family.
  • Have a great understanding and working knowledge of your department and be the expert in delivering practical actions for its improvement by taking a hands‐on approach.
