Job Description
- Responsible for Quality Assurance and Product/Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory compliance, adhering to local, international, health and food safety regulations.
- This is an operational role that requires full flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including early and late shifts.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of specifications from goods in to dispatch to airside.
- Communicate non-conformances through all stage of Quality Assurance to the relevant departments – Operations, Purchasing, Logistics and Transport
- To carry out the training of QA team and all DO&CO employees to ensure compliance to customer specifications and standard operating procedures.
- To maintain a close working relationship with all operational departments and continuous flow of information relating to quality and production performance.
- To liaise with production management and ensure that standard operating procedures are being followed as required and all staff are trained appropriately.
- To allocate the work allocation for the QA staff on shift
- Lead and direct internal audits, ensuring all corrective actions are implemented.
- To support the Quality Assurance management team as required.
Qualifications
- Food industry experience in a similar role
- Training in the field of food hygiene, HACCP and/or quality management or apprenticeship diploma and professional experience in the field of food safety.
- Food Safety and Quality Assurance Knowledge
- Highly result-orientated, high level of self-organization
- Attention to detail, hands-on mentality.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Stress resistant
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to transcend communication and training to executive leadership to hourly employees.
