About The Role
Technical Advisory is a newly established department within Energy Systems, UK & Ireland, creating a powerhouse of technical expertise that combines existing strengths with the ambition of growing capabilities and raising the bar on service quality for our customers across the whole Energy Systems space. The department integrates Projects, Engineering, and Integrity services with a clear ambition to strengthen delivery and focus our technical excellence to increase customer impact. The Project Advisory Section supports customers across the full project lifecycle, delivering CAPEX services such as Owners Engineering, as well as operational services looking at life management, repowering options, decommissioning studies, and inspections. The ambition is to create a dynamic environment that expands and evolves these services across assets and technologies in line with market trends and emerging opportunities, requiring a strong commercial mindset and alignment across teams, with close collaboration with other departments to enhance the service offering and increase market share.

What You Would Be Doing
- Lead engagement with customers, identifying their challenges and proposing appropriate solutions across solar PV, BESS, wind, and other technologies.
- Execute technical studies, evaluate the risks of new projects, and represent the client during construction and commissioning.
- Participate in project management of larger projects and bids, providing technical expertise across the project lifecycle or across multiple technologies and regions.
- Provide technical mentoring and coaching to other team members.
- Travel to engage with customers and visit project sites, primarily within the UK & Ireland but occasionally globally.

About You
- Knowledge and understanding of energy storage.
- Considerable experience in the energy industry, including:
- Previous demonstrable experience in performing owners engineering or consultancy activities, or
- Project development, construction or operations experience with solar PV, energy storage, and/or renewables assets.
- A curious mindset, proactively identifying and promoting novel ideas, and embracing change.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate key points clearly and concisely in written reports, proposals, presentations, and meetings.
- Excellent interpersonal and team‑working skills, adept at building professional relationships based on trust and integrity.
- Support the development of others through training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders in customers’ organisations, identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Ability to manage projects on your own initiative and collaborate with wider multidisciplinary teams to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives.
- Hold a science or engineering degree with a significant electrical engineering component.
