The Transactions & Business Advisory (T&BA) team is a multidisciplinary team with experts from oil & gas, utilities, power, and renewable energy backgrounds to support companies and assets throughout their Energy Transition journey with a particular focus on Due Diligence for M&A and Project Financing. The team works with financial institutions (infrastructure funds, private equity, investment banks and Energy / Utility companies) on a wide range of due diligence projects across buy side, sell side, and project finance deals. The team operates in many industry sectors, but with particular focus on midstream and downstream O&G, power generation and distribution (including traditional gas generation, biogas, biomass, Energy from Waste) and energy transitions (Hydrogen, CCS/CCUS, Ammonia, etc).
Typical skills required to deliver a technical due diligence project include asset integrity, operational performance, H&S, environmental performance, decarbonisation, financial models analysis, CAPEX/OPEX review, etc. The team has been expanding steadily in recent years and we are now looking for a senior consultant with an asset Integrity background ideally with relevant experience in few of the industry sectors we operate in. Experience in a consulting organisation and in an operating environment are considered key requirements for this role.
You’ll find that the nature of your work is varied, challenging and fast paced as you manage or contribute to the delivery of technical due diligence projects for our clients, supported by a large team (currently about 40 FTE) and collaborating with colleagues across DNV’s services, leveraging our broader technical expertise and global footprint. It is essential that the candidate has significant Asset Integrity experience both in an operational setting and a consulting organization. Experience in Due Diligence process would also be highly beneficial. Other key requirements are listed below:
- Demonstrable technical engineering experience in Asset Integrity and Asset Integrity Management Systems and processes such as RBI and defect assessments gained within the Energy value Chain. Direct experience in BSI PAS 55 and ISO 55000:2024 would also be highly beneficial.
- Strong academic background in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
- Excellent report writing, oral communication and presentation skills, ability to define and explain complex technical issues and solutions to non-experts.
- Flexible attitude to working in a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment.
