Responsibilities
- Attend vessels as an independent witness and record trial results
- Review FMEA and Trials programmes per industry guidelines
- Develop FMEA and author Proving Trials
- Review IMCA M190 / M191 compliant trials programmes
- Offshore client representative attendances
- Develop marine operating procedures, method statements, and risk assessments
- Perform SIMOPS assessments and marine risk evaluations for multi-vessel operations
- Key requirements
- Solid marine operational background, ideally offshore support vessels at Chief/Second Engineer level (desirable)
- Up-to-date knowledge of marine regulations, class rules and industry standards (IMCA/OCIMF/MTS)
- Experience of reviewing or developing FMEA studies
- Familiarity with closed-bus power systems and battery/hybrid installations (advantageous)
- Collaborative, service-minded, able to simplify complex issues and propose solutions
- Strong communication and client-facing skills; proficient technical report writing; fluent English
- Self-driven and motivated to learn new responsibilities
- Current offshore safety certification desirable (BOSIET/FOET/GWO)
- Ability to hold ENG1 or OEUK Medical for offshore work
