Concrete Structures & Geotechnics in Norway is part of region Northern Europe in business area Energy Systems. We are looking for a geotechnical specialist with a good track record from the offshore industry to take lead on technology and service development and positioning in the market. The successful candidate will function as a Technical and Quality Responsible (TQR), further develop our best practice, act as PM and develop our customer relations and sales.
Our section is working with projects all over the world in close cooperation with geotechnical colleagues from Hamburg, Copenhagen, London, Loughborough, Perth, Johannesburg and San Diego. Our ambition is to have a leading role in DNV and relevant industries. It is therefore expected that you will take part in updating our standards and ensuring we are at the forefront of new technology. We seek a person who would like to further develop and share our best practice and who will represent DNV in Joint Industry Projects. The successful candidate must be business driven putting the customer first.
We have ongoing projects related to energy islands, fixed and floating wind turbines, floating solar PV, trenching of cables, scour protection, carbon capture projects, and LNG. In addition, we have ongoing projects within subsea, floating fish farms, pipelines, geohazards etc.
Our section is part of the department “Structures” with a leading role within structural integrity related services and soil/structure interaction is an important part of these services. We work closely with other technical disciplines in multidisciplinary project teams in DNV. Our projects include many disciplines, and we are therefore seeking a person who enjoys working together with other relevant disciplines like Hydrodynamics, Structures, Marine Operations, Materials, Environment, Electro, IT etc.
The candidate will be part of a competent geotechnical team which is involved in a wide range of geotechnical matters across industries. Work location is Norway.

Qualifications
- Master or PhD within Geotechnics
- Substantial relevant experience, preferably a minimum of 15 years' expertise.
- Strong background within soil/structure interaction
- Strong analytical competence
- Good Norwegian skills, beside excellent English.
- Strong customer relation will be considered an advantage
