Our Technical Support team, with about 200 awesome colleagues, is here to help with all kinds of Fleet in Service issues. We’re available around the clock for our customers and colleagues, with teams strategically located in Norway, Germany, Greece, Poland, Singapore and the USA. We offer key services like DATE (Direct Access to Technical Expert), Remote Surveys, and we govern all Fleet in Service technical matters.

Now, we’re looking for a Fleet Quality Management Engineer to join our Fleet Quality, PSC, and Management System Section, which is a team that is aspiring to set the core foundations that ensure continuous safe operations and quality for our fleet with the ambition to further improve DNV’s PSC performance in years to come. This role reports to the Head of Fleet Quality, PSC & Management Systems. You could be based in either Oslo (Høvik) or Hamburg and this position may involve travelling between these locations on need basis.

Key responsibilities

  • Fleet Quality Management Engineer will be a key team member for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across our fleet.
  • This role will be deeply involved in developing while integrating existing governance processes and activities uniting three (3) core disciplines, which are ISM, fleet monitoring and PSC (threefold).
  • This role will work closely with various experts to improve our fleet quality and safety.
  • Synergy: Actively contributes to finding and creating synergies between our threefold expertise.
  • Modernization: Drive the modernization of our threefold deliveries and processes, ensuring they stay relevant to the current/future needs of our customers and market.
  • Tool development: Participate or lead in the development of production tools dedicated to our threefold activities.
  • Technical case: Assess, investigate, and respond to unit related technical cases/queries (internal/external) via DATE®, and perform remote/physical audit delivery activities when required.
  • Lead trainer: Take responsibility as lead trainer for courses, refreshing content to address current challenges and demands.
  • Meetings: Prepare for and participate in relevant internal/external meetings, internal quality workshops, and experience exchange seminars.

Qualifications/experience

  • Relevant Master’s/bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Maritime industry, preferably related to quality and safety management.
  • Intermediate to advance PowerBI knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
