The Finance team in DNV Business Assurance has ambitions to digitalise and maximise automation opportunities within the Finance processes. We are at an early maturity stage on our journey and are looking for an enthusiastic and curious professional who is willing to join our team, learn our business model & related processes and take a hands-on approach on our digital journey. Finance technical knowledge is not a requirement for the role but will be an added advantage.
This new role based in Europe will have a high interest from senior leadership both within Finance and other functions who will be interested to adopt our solutions more widely where possible. The role will report directly to the Global Finance Process Manager but will have extensive interaction on a regular basis with the Business Assurance Finance community at a Global, Regional and Local level as well as with the systems team and technology experts.
In your role you will:
- Identify automation opportunities based on available technologies around all existing finance processes and implement robot process automation (RPA) around the various processes when opportunities arise.
- Explore the potential applications of AI within existing finance processes to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements, while collaborating closely with technical teams and finance teams.
- Support with enhancing, maintaining and scaling use of existing robot process automation solutions as part of process harmonisation.
- Gain relevant external and internal insights to take forward new automation opportunities in finance processes.
- Support Business Assurance Global Finance to progress finance process efficiency opportunities.
- Creation, improvement and enhancement of analytics.
- Work with IT stakeholders to follow up on requirements/solutions (including testing).
- Document working instructions connected to existing and new solutions.
- Support the finance community with troubleshooting issues related to new and existing automated solutions.
- Ensure process documentation is created/maintained for training/onboarding purposes in a smart way.
- Leverage Data for Process Optimization.

To maximize your chances of success you need:
- 4+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a digital environment.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Digital literacy: familiarity with digital technologies or willingness to learn, such as but not limited to artificial intelligence, automation, and analytics.
- Experience or interest in using PowerBI to create dashboards, visualizations, and reports that communicate financial insights and recommendations will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, influencing skills and cultural awareness of working cross border and in a matrix organisation.
- Experience working in team settings and contributing to collective goals.
- Structured and analytical mind-set focused on solution-oriented thinking and taking a pragmatic, data-driven approach to delivering results.
- Fluent in using Microsoft Office programs, SharePoint and Power platform services.
- Proven ability to learn and understand new software/accounting systems; knowledge of Oracle based suites are an advantage.
- General understanding of Finance processes will be considered an advantage.
- Good English language skills (both oral & written).
- Service oriented mentality and a high sense of ownership of the task/project assigned.
