Salary: £37,000 - 77,000 per year
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with Python.
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with REST API and microservices development.
- Strong knowledge of React.js.
- Experience with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript.
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with Redux and React Hooks.
- Experience with responsive UI development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- MongoDB experience is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.
- Financial services or banking domain experience is good to have.
- Experience with event-driven architectures is good to have.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ is good to have.
- Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code is good to have.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or Jest is good to have.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python and React.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using React.js.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, and QA teams.
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure best coding practices.
- Work within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
