MRC Global, a DNOW Company, serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Regional Sales Manager to lead growth across the North East England and Scottish central belt region within our Valves & Automation division. This is a high-impact field sales role focused on developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer relationships across key process industries including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power Generation, Renewables and Industrial Manufacturing. The successful candidate will combine strong technical understanding with a proactive sales approach and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow sales across the North East England and Scottish central belt region within valves and automation products/services
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across target process industries
  • Manage and develop existing key customer accounts to maximise revenue and margin growth
  • Build strong relationships with end users, EPCs, contractors and industrial customers
  • Deliver against sales and profitability targets through structured business planning
  • Work closely with internal sales, operations and leadership teams to ensure exceptional customer support
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and CRM reporting
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and technical discussions
About You

We are looking for a motivated and technically credible sales professional with:

  • Proven success in external technical sales within valves, automation or flow control
  • Strong knowledge of quarter-turn and multi-turn valve products and associated automation solutions
  • Experience selling into process industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power or Industrial sectors
  • A strong commercial mindset with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Self-motivation, drive and the ability to manage a regional territory effectively
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the region
