Dnevo Partners is partnering with an established City of London based Commercial Bank to recruit a Senior Credit Analyst for its Credit Risk team.
Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk, this role offers the opportunity to influence lending decisions through independent credit assessment, constructive challenge and clear recommendations to the Credit Committee.
The position will focus primarily on Commodity Finance, with additional coverage across large corporate lending and other sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess new lending proposals and existing exposures, identifying credit risks, structural weaknesses and appropriate mitigants.
- Challenge Front Office proposals and provide guidance on credit requirements.
- Prepare and present independent credit opinions and recommendations to Credit Committee.
- Monitor borrower performance, credit limits, exposures, covenants and conditions subsequent throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Undertake annual credit reviews and research borrowers, industries and markets.
- Identify emerging counterparty and sector risks, escalating early warning signals.
The successful candidate will bring:
- At least 8–10 years’ relevant credit review experience across Large Corporate and Commodity Finance.
- Strong financial analysis, forecasting and stress-testing skills.
- A detailed understanding of credit risks and mitigants across industries, countries and borrower types.
- The confidence to challenge proposals objectively and communicate recommendations clearly.
- Strong judgement, negotiation skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
