We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team on an animated feature film. This is a pivotal leadership role within production, responsible for driving organisation, clarity, and momentum across departments to ensure the successful delivery of the film. Working closely with the Line Producer, Animation Producer, Coordinators and the Department Leads, the Production Manager will oversee the planning and execution of the production schedule (and micro schedules), maintain accurate tracking and reporting systems, and champion efficient workflows across the pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Line Producer, Animation Producer, and Department Leads to translate the production plan into actionable schedules and departmental roadmaps.
- Lead day-to-day production operations, ensuring deliveries and internal targets are tracked and achieved.
- Own and optimize Shotgrid (aka Flow Production Tracking) setup, workflow configuration, data integrity, and reporting.
- Drive transparency and accountability through consistent status reporting.
- Identify risks proactively and implement solutions to maintain schedule and quality targets.
- Supervise and mentor Production Coordinators/Assistants, fostering a positive culture of organisation and collaboration.
- Working closely with international shot production teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication across all teams.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Production Manager on at least one animated feature film (essential).
- Experience managing and working with international teams is also a plus.
- Strong understanding of CG animation pipelines and feature-scale production workflows including: art, storyboards, edit, build, and shot production.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine is also a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Shotgrid.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across creative and technical teams.
- Proven ability to manage complexity in fast-paced production environments.
- Must be based in the UK; London-based candidates strongly preferred.
