As we strive to establish ourselves as leading competitors in the industry, the role of our Character Technical Directors (TDs) is pivotal. You will be responsible for designing animation rigs for characters, creatures, props, and vehicles in close collaboration with our Rigging Supervisors and Animation Leads/Supervisors.
Must Have
- Proven experience with significant creature/character projects
- Thorough knowledge of your area of character specialization (e.g., body, face, mechanical rigs)
- Full working knowledge of Maya
- Comfortable with the technical aspects of character/creature work
- Strong visual and artistic skills
- Good understanding of human anatomy
- Soft skills such as mentoring junior members
- Organizing task assignments, communicating with other departments, and ensuring quality of output
- Familiarity with pipeline issues and a character/creature-heavy post-production environment
- Extensive Python knowledge (OOP, etc.)
- Knowledge of Linear Algebra and Vector Math
