The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Working closely with our Head of Animation, Animation Supervisors and fellow Animators, you will be responsible for creating believable animation with convincing performances and motion. You will have the ability to complete digi-double, creature, character or rigid body animation. Delivering work to strict deadlines, you will be aware of project schedules and work hard to achieve these goals, and produce content within the framework of the DNEG pipeline.
Mid Animator
Must Have
- 3+ years CG animation experience within live-action Creature and VFX feature films, or high-end TV featuring creatures and 4-legged work
- Ability to perform visual and analytical problem-solving in 3-dimensional space, including the ability to accurately interpret 3D layouts and analyse 3D form
- Ability to problem solve and predict potential problems with assigned tasks
- Thorough knowledge of Maya
- Showreel showcasing exceptional, highly detailed, high-end live action VFX animation work including creatures and detailed high level performance showing instances of flying, bipedal, vehicle animation and use of motion capture
Senior Animator
Must Have
- 5+ years CG animation experience within high end live action VFX feature films
- Ability to perform visual and analytical problem solving in 3-dimensional space, including the ability to accurately interpret 3D layouts and analyse 3D form
- Thorough knowledge of Maya
- Proven experience troubleshooting and predicting potential problems with assigned tasks and issues coming from other departments
- Ability to support the Leads and Supervisors
- Experience mentoring junior artists
- Proven experience pro-actively in finding creative solutions within the bounds of the shots
- Ability to contribute to the pipeline and team bringing improvements and over-arching methodologies to better the department
- Showreel showcasing a variety of exceptional, highly detailed, high-end live action VFX animation work including hero creatures, hero digi-doubles and detailed high level performance showing instances of flying, bipedal, vehicle and use of motion capture
Nice to Have
- Experience with realistic and stylised facial animation
- Tool development using Python or MEL
- Experience shooting Mocap material using Moven Mocap suit
