We are looking for someone to join warehouse team, as a Warehouse Team Leader!

This role will be based at Perth Airport working 38 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster

The Cargo Warehouse Team Leader, is responsible for the operations of the cargo services for our clients to ensure an efficient and effective service, delivering the company values and commitment which exceeds our clients’ expectations.

The Cargo Warehouse Team Leader, will manage the day-to-day business issues and competing demands in line with operational requirements and Service Level Agreements

  • Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for a group of staff in a work area.
  • Ensure that productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility, including completion of regular performance assessment reports.
  • Responsible for the control, supervision and training of designated staff.
  • Make recommendations on all aspects of the operation, identification of opportunities to improve performance and productivity.
  • Organise and co-ordinate work within their area of responsibility.
  • Carry out various administrative and reporting duties, including the operation of communication and computer aids.
  • Must demonstrate leadership, decision making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work.
  • Be a proactive self-starter, able to successfully manage multiple issues and effectively resolving them
  • Ability to work unsupervised at times and in a changing and fast paced team environment.
  • Motivated and capable of committing to rostered shifts spanning 24 hours / 7 days a week including morning, evenings and weekend.
  • Keep up to date and competent on all articulate training.

  • Develop and maintain a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance.
  • Conduct work in accordance with dnata’s Health & Safety Management System.
  • Follow all safety work procedures, adhering to all safety guidelines provided.
  • Participate in emergency drills and/or evacuations.

Essential Criteria

  • Signed off in the appropriate area that is being overseen.
  • Commitment to dnata Values and operating procedures
  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Demonstrate leadership experience and an ability to drive a customer and safety focus culture within the team
  • Previous experience in a highly controlled and regulated industry with the ability to lead, translate, implement and manage ongoing compliance, industry standards and legislative requirements into standard operations
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety, policy, procedures and processes
  • Ability to handle pressured and stressful job situation successfully i. e. competing demands and priorities, including working any extra hours required
  • Ability to work within a team, sharing information and providing support to ensure there is a coordinated approach to the customer requirements during aircraft operation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people (written and verbal) from a variety of different backgrounds; and has the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive situations
  • Understands the importance of meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) whilst adhering to safety requirements
