Overview

At Travelbag, we make travel a piece of cake. Our knowledgeable experts live and breathe holidays, so they’re always on hand with tips and advice, to help our customers discover somewhere new. We’re owned by dnata Travel, part of the Emirates Group.

We are now recruiting for experienced Travel Consultants to join our team of experts at our store in Marlow.

Responsibilities

  • Sell long-haul destinations and tailor-made holidays.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships with customers, whether face to face or over the phone.
  • Work in a target-driven environment and strive to meet and exceed personal targets.
  • Utilise GDS experience where available to support bookings and customer service.
  • Participate in ongoing product and destination training to enhance knowledge and contribute to team success.

Qualifications

  • Experience of selling long-haul destinations and tailor-made holidays.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for travel.
  • Motivated to meet and exceed targets.
  • GDS experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a target-driven environment and travel experience in long-haul destinations are desirable.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Uncapped commission scheme with average commission of £24K on top of base salary; top performers averaging £55K in commission.
  • Minimum OTE in first year: £35K rising to £39K in Year 2, depending on experience.
  • Annual leave: 25 days increasing to 28 days after 5 years, plus bank holidays.

Training & Development

You will have an initial 4-week interactive training period with our in-house training team, followed by ongoing development through the Travelbag academy, product training from the destination team, and supplier-hosted events.

Working Hours

Travel Consultants work 37.5 hours per week over 5 days (7 days operating pattern: 9am to 6:00pm). In peak periods we may open 9am to 9pm to meet customer demand.
