Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership & Influence
- Develop effective working relationships with managers across the business, influencing and challenging them to ensure optimal HR solutions are delivered.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Senior Management on all HR matters, providing trusted advisory support.
- Support planned business changes by ensuring appropriate peopleārelated strategies are in place and providing guidance to managers through reorganisations and restructures.
- Employment Law & Employee Relations
- Influence, coach, and guide management through complex employment law and employee relations matters, advising on best practice resolutions.
- Manage the endātoāend process of Employment Tribunals, attending hearings and securing the best outcomes for the business.
- Stay current with employment legislation and best practice, effectively communicating relevant updates to the business.
- Lead TUPE transfers both in and out of the business, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions.
- Talent Management & Development
- Oversee the complete recruitment process from initial authorisation through to offer and onboarding.
- Identify and nurture star talent throughout the organisation, collaborating with Training teams and Learning & Talent Development Partner to ensure employee development.
- Design and deliver HR workshops for managers to ensure legal compliance and adherence to company procedures.
- Manage and develop the HR team, fostering continuous development to help each member achieve their full potential.
- Training & Compliance
- Ensure all managers receive appropriate coaching and training on HR policies and procedures through the HR team.
- Maintain organisational compliance through effective policy implementation and manager education.
- Write and deliver targeted training workshops to enhance management capability.
- Stakeholder Management
- Effectively manage Trade Union relationships, building strong collaborative partnerships.
- Promote the company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions and initiatives.
- Undertake additional duties as required by management, commensurate with the role's responsibilities.
Essential Requirements
- HR Expertise & Analytics
- You will bring comprehensive HR knowledge spanning talent acquisition, performance management, and organisational development, with proven experience implementing HR strategies that drive business results.
- Strong proficiency in HR analytics is essential, including the ability to interpret workforce data, create compelling reports for leadership, and use predictive analytics to inform strategic decisions.
- Employment Law & Compliance
- Deep knowledge of UK employment legislation, TUPE regulations, and best practice in employee relations is crucial, along with experience managing Employment Tribunals and complex legal cases.
- You will have extensive experience developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring organisational compliance across all areas, and creating effective monitoring systems to maintain standards.
- Industry Knowledge & Commercial Focus
- Understanding of the aviation/ground handling industry landscape is vital, including operational challenges, safety requirements, and unique workforce dynamics.
