As a Dock Security at dnata Catering UK, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our catering and goods arrive with our airline customers on time in line with various scheduling requirements. You will carry out dock security functions as per training provided and CAA regulations, ensuring all items are handled carefully to prevent damage and loaded/unloaded according to the schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all dock security functions as per training provided and CAA regulations.
- Ensure that all items are handled carefully to prevent damage and that they are loaded/unloaded according to the schedule.
- Check that all items are present, correctly packed, and organised for efficient loading.
- Inspect catering carts and equipment for cleanliness, completeness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Report any discrepancies, damaged items, or safety concerns to the Operations Manager or Operations Supervisor immediately.
- Help organise and maintain the dock and storage areas, ensuring they are clean, orderly, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food items and the use of protective equipment.
- Coordinate with drivers, loaders, and other team members to ensure that all security protocols are followed to maintain catering deliveries being completed on time.
- Communicate any issues or delays promptly to the Supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of documentation as required by the Supervisor.
- Ensure that all paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and on time.
What We’re Looking For
- Full driving licence – preferably standard manual Class B.
- Experience in driving a van.
- Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑moving environment.
- Clean full driving licence.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workstation and promoting good health and safety practices.
- Willingness to undertake manual handling, including bending, pushing and reaching.
