dnata Catering UK are actively seeking General Assistants to join our already successful and vibrant team at London Heathrow. As a General Assistant you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our catering and goods arrive with our airline customers on time in line with various scheduling requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Production: Plating in-flight meals (Ensure the highest standards of food presentation)
- Assisting the kitchen team
- Maintain standards of food safety and hygiene per legislation and other statutory requirements and company rules and policies
- Maintaining a clean and safe workstation
- Promote good teamwork and work in a friendly, efficient manner
- Weighing and packing the products
- Undertake some manual handling / bending and reaching as part of your normal job duties
- Ensure production packing deadlines are met
- Quality & Weight check
- Using and working with iPad

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous culinary experience
- Good standard of numeracy
- Basic checking skills
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
- Must have high standards of personal hygiene
- Fast and efficient whilst working in a fast paced and demanding kitchen
- Ability to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency
- A hard-working team player who is able to work both in a team and independently
- Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise efficiently
- Be able to handle pork and alcohol products
- Be prepared to stand for long periods of time
- Be prepared to work in a chilled environment
- Have a basic understanding of English
