Job Requirements:

  • Previous airport driving experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidates who wish to share in dnata's vision, mission and values.
  • Previous air freight off-loading and loading experience, or similar, desirable.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage own workload independently, and work on own initiative.
  • Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Full valid C + E (Class 1) UK driving licence including CPC and Digi Tacho Card is essential.
  • Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5 year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet dnata and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report.

Job Summary:

The role involves ensuring the efficient and effective movement of transhipments, communicating with dnata warehouses and third party warehouses. The transportation of cargo pallets, containers and bulk freight to and from airside/landside to bonded warehouses. Assisting the warehouse and ramp staff with off-loading/loading of cargo onto vehicles.

Hours of work: 42 hours per week over a rotating cycle of day shifts, 4 on 4 off - roster patterns may change in line with business requirements. The job holder must have a flexible approach to working variable shift patterns within our 24-hour operation.
