A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Receptionist to join the team at our award-winning Lakeview Vets. Located in the beautiful seaside town of Deal, Lakeview is at the heart of the community offering a caring and professional service to their clients and pets. We strive to provide the very best first opinion veterinary care while creating a warm and welcoming environment for our teams, our patients and their owners.
Your day at Lakeview Vets could include:
- Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival
- Booking appointments and arrivals
- Helping to promote our Healthcare Plan so that pets are receiving premium discounted preventative treatment
- Booking in follow up appointments for the pet once they have left their initial consultation
- Helping the Vet and Nurse team with queries
- Being responsible for paperwork being scanned onto pets digital records
- Liaison with clients regarding queries for appointment booking and medication collection
- Ordering food and medication
- Taking payment following treatment
- Managing an extremely busy reception desk with efficiency and professionalism
Ideally you will have:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational abilities and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, having experience using RxWorks is a MASSIVE plus!
- Enjoy cuddling pets - pets are everything to our amazing teams
This is a full time position, working 30-40 hours per week with a share of 1:6 Saturday mornings. This role will be a dual role between supporting the vet and nurse teams with patient care, and then time on Reception. You will be required to maintain a clean and hygienic environment at all times, assist with animal handling, answer the phone, book appointments, take payments and deal with client queries alongside other duties. You must have a professional and kind phone manner and be capable of working both on your own and within a team.
