We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting the commercial performance of our expanding business. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and wants to make a real impact within a growing organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, providing commercial insight, and supporting operational decision-making across a business with multiple legal entities, ongoing acquisitions, and franchise/partnership arrangements. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to help drive performance while maintaining strong financial controls.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant within a large, multi-site organisation (30+ sites or £30m+ turnover).
  • At least 3 years' experience in a multi-site environment.
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified (ACA also considered). Candidates whose highest qualification is AAT will be considered only with substantial subsequent practical experience, ideally alongside current study towards CIMA or ACCA.
  • Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, and supporting a Financial Controller or senior finance function.
  • Knowledge of franchise and/or partnership business models — essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence partnering with stakeholders across the business.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing organisation.
  • An interest in embracing technology and a willingness to use AI tools to improve efficiency and support business processes.
  • The ability to commute to our Chatham or Ilford office, living within approximately 40 minutes of the site.

  • A stable, growing business with exciting long-term opportunities
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Opportunity to work with senior leaders across a diverse multi-site organisation
