About The Role
Are you a passionate and experienced Veterinary Receptionist looking for an exciting opportunity in Oxford? Look no further! Here at our fantastic Iffley Vets in Oxfordshire we are currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our incredible team as a Veterinary Receptionist. Our practice is renowned for delivering exceptional care and service to our clients' lovely pets. We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing the very best veterinary care while creating a warm and welcoming environment for our teams, our patients and their owners.
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, you'll be the friendly face and the first person our clients see when they walk through our doors, greeting clients with a smile and giving their pets a good old fuss!
Duties Include:
- Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival
- Book appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary
- Help to promote our Healthcare Plan so that pets are receiving premium discounted preventative treatment
- Booking in follow up appointments for the pet once they have left their initial consultation
- Help the Vet and Nurse team with queries
- Being responsible for paperwork being scanned onto pets digital records
- Liaison with clients regarding queries for appointment booking and medication collection
- Ordering food and medication
- Taking payment immediately after treatment of the pet
- 0% finance application processing for those clients wanting to spread the cost of payment for larger operations
- Managing an extremely busy reception desk with efficiency and professionalism - and donβt forget about those emails coming through or those social media pages!
This is a Full-Time position, working 40 hours per week, with a mix of shift patterns between 7:30am-8pm, and 1:4 weekends. You will also be required to work a share of bank holidays per year.
