Mid-Weight Strategist – Shopper Marketing Agency – Hybrid (Northampton Based)

DNA Recruit are working with a Dynamic and Collaborative Agency specialising in Shopper Marketing and Retail communications who are looking for a Mid-Weight Strategist.

With a growing, ambitious team and a supportive culture, this is an ideal opportunity for a Strategist keen to shape Retail experiences and drive brand impact in a commercially creative way.

About the Role

As Mid-Weight Strategist, you’ll play a key role in crafting compelling, insight-driven strategies across Shopper Campaigns, Brand Activations, and Retail experiences. Reporting into the Strategy Director, you’ll be part of a close-knit team with direct access to senior leadership and cross-functional collaboration across Creative, Client Services, and Production.

Responsibilities:

  • Translating client briefs into effective shopper-focused strategies
  • Mapping customer journeys and identifying behavioural triggers
  • Applying research tools and insight data to guide creative thinking
  • Building communications frameworks and activation plans
  • Presenting ideas internally and to clients with confidence and clarity
  • Measuring campaign effectiveness and identifying opportunities to optimise

Skills and Experience:
We’re looking for someone with a strategic mindset, a curious nature, and a desire to make work that works. Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in shopper marketing, retail strategy, or a closely related discipline
  • A strong balance of creative flair and commercial understanding
  • Confidence working with insights, behavioural data, and research findings
  • Great communication skills and the ability to present with clarity
  • A collaborative, ego-free approach to working with wider teams
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Salary: £40,000–£50,000
Location: Hybrid – Northampton (2–3 days per week)
