DNA Recruit are working with a leading Creative Communications & Events Agency on the lookout for a dynamic and commercially driven New Business Lead to spearhead growth and new client acquisition. About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, and helping shape the agency’s growth trajectory. This is not a typical cold-calling role, it’s about spotting opportunities, crafting compelling stories, and connecting with C-suite leaders to create meaningful, long-term partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and targeting prospective clients through research, networking, and referrals.
- Leading outreach efforts across phone, email, and LinkedIn, as well as agency-led initiatives and campaigns.
- Generating and nurturing leads into qualified opportunities.
- Leading introductory meetings and uncovering client challenges to create bespoke solutions.
- Shaping a strong new business pipeline and supporting RFIs, RFPs, and pitch responses.
- Collaborating with marketing and client service teams to ensure seamless integration of outreach and delivery.
- Representing the agency at industry events and developing thought leadership in the market.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5–10 years’ experience in business development, sales, or growth role, within the events or creative sector.
- Proven track record in winning new clients and consistently achieving sales targets.
- Strong experience in cold outreach and relationship-building with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Commercially astute with experience closing deals with multi-million-pound budgets.
