About the Role
As Head of Strategy, you will lead strategic thinking across brand, campaign and sponsorship activity, ensuring every piece of work delivers cultural relevance, creative impact and measurable business results. You’ll work closely with creative, data, CX and media teams to bring integrated ideas to life, while acting as a trusted strategic partner to senior clients. This is a highly visible leadership role, blending strategic rigour with innovation, audience insight and commercial acumen.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and leading strategy across brand, creative, sponsorship and integrated campaigns
- Embedding strategic thinking into the creative process to drive fame, effectiveness and ROI
- Leading cross‑functional teams across planning, insight, data, creative and media
- Developing sponsorship and activation strategies grounded in audience insight and measurement
- Acting as a senior strategic advisor to clients, building long‑term partnerships and unlocking organic growth
- Leading workshops on positioning, segmentation, effectiveness and innovation
- Shaping thought leadership and distinct strategic points of view for the agency
- Building, mentoring and developing a high‑performing strategy team
- Staying ahead of industry trends including AI, digital transformation and evolving fan experiences
Skills and Experience Required
- 10 years’ senior strategic experience, ideally within sport, sponsorship or creative agencies
- Strong understanding of sports culture, sponsorship models and audience measurement on a global scale
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, mentor and grow teams
- Commercially minded, with a track record of delivering measurable impact
- Confident senior client operator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Highly skilled in turning data and insight into powerful strategic direction
- Experience delivering integrated, multi‑channel campaigns
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Exposure to AI, synthetic data or digital innovation is a plus
