Exhibition Project Manager – Exhibition Stand & Build
We’re working with an established, independent exhibition stand design and build company that creates and delivers modular and custom exhibition stands for clients across the UK and internationally.
They manage the full process in-house and through their trusted supplier network – from design and production through to logistics, installation and onsite delivery. They’re now looking for an Exhibition Project Manager with hands‑on experience working within the exhibition stand and build industry to join their growing team.
This is very much a stand delivery role, so previous experience managing the production and delivery of physical exhibition stands is key. You’ll take projects from design sign‑off through production, build and installation, acting as the link between the client, design team, production partners, suppliers and onsite teams.
The Role
You’ll have ownership of multiple exhibition stand projects at any one time, ensuring they’re delivered smoothly, commercially and to a high standard.
- Manage exhibition stand projects from design sign‑off through to build, installation and post‑show debrief
- Deliver modular/T3 exhibition stands alongside simple custom‑build stands
- Coordinate the physical production and build process with designers, production teams, contractors and suppliers
- Prepare project costings and take ownership of budgets, margins and P&L
- Manage third‑party contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, timelines and budgets are met
- Act as the main client contact throughout delivery, confidently leading meetings and managing expectations
- Interpret artwork briefs and coordinate requirements between clients and designers
- Manage venue regulations, RAMS, health & safety and exhibition compliance
- Travel across the UK and internationally to oversee stand installations and ensure smooth onsite delivery
- Troubleshoot production and onsite challenges, making confident decisions to keep projects moving
- Build long‑term client relationships and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts
About You
Previous exhibition stand and build experience is essential for this role. You’ll understand the practicalities of taking an exhibition stand from an approved design into production and ultimately getting it built successfully on the show floor.
You’ll bring:
- Strong project management experience gained within an exhibition stand design, build or production company
- Hands‑on experience delivering physical exhibition stands, particularly modular stand systems
- Experience managing projects through production, build, logistics and onsite installation
- Knowledge of modular/T3 systems, with exposure to custom‑build stands advantageous
- Experience preparing exhibition stand costings and managing project budgets, margins and P&L
- Strong understanding of exhibition regulations, venue requirements, RAMS and compliance, including AEV eGuide standards
- Confidence managing clients, suppliers, contractors and production teams
- The ability to manage multiple live builds and changing deadlines simultaneously
- A practical, solutions‑focused approach to production and onsite challenges
- Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and internationally for installations
What’s on Offer
The salary is £40,000-£45,000 DOE, alongside hybrid/flexible working from a Central London office, 25 days’ annual leave, private healthcare, a discretionary annual bonus, progressive maternity/paternity packages, company laptop and mobile, and company socials.
This is a strong opportunity for someone already working within the exhibition stand and build world who wants ownership of projects from sign‑off right through to seeing the finished stand come to life on the show floor.
