An established international events business is looking for an experienced Event Manager to join its operations team in New York, delivering large-scale B2B conferences and exhibitions across the US. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced live event environments and enjoys owning projects from planning through to onsite delivery. You’ll manage multiple high-profile conferences with hundreds of attendees, sponsor activations, exhibition spaces, and complex logistics, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale B2B conferences and exhibitions across the US
  • Manage event logistics including floorplans, signage, venue operations, supplier coordination, and onsite delivery
  • Oversee third-party suppliers including AV, exhibition contractors, venues, and branding providers
  • Manage event budgets, forecasting, invoice reconciliation, and post-event reporting
  • Coordinate sponsor deliverables including branding opportunities, exhibition stands, and meeting spaces
  • Work closely with internal teams across sponsorship, marketing, production, and delegate sales
  • Build and manage event apps and event platforms with external providers
  • Lead onsite teams during live events, handling staff management and speaker support
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high operational standard

Requirements

  • Previous experience delivering large-scale B2B conferences or exhibitions
  • Strong end-to-end event management experience within a conference or exhibition environment
  • Experience managing multiple live projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable leading events with 500 attendees and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong supplier management and onsite leadership skills
  • Experience managing event budgets and post-event reconciliation
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with event apps or virtual event platforms is beneficial

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote
  • National and occasional international travel required for live events
