Role Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Pricing Manager to join our Commercial Finance team. This newly created role is critical to enhancing our pricing governance, scheme fee management, and profitability analytics. The Pricing Manager will be a key strategic partner to the Commercial and Data teams, ensuring pricing strategies are financially sound, responsive to market dynamics, and aligned with long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Optimisation

  • Develop and maintain detailed Merchant Service Charge (MSC) models by segment.
  • Support the SME and Corporate commercial teams with pricing proposals, deal structuring, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead repricing initiatives, optimising pricing to align with cost structures and margin goals.

Scheme Fee Governance & Relationship Management

  • Own the reconciliation of scheme and interchange fee invoices.
  • Track and resolve billing discrepancies and improve fee forecasting accuracy.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with schemes (e.g., Mastercard, Visa) to enhance fee governance, align commercial terms, and stay ahead of regulatory or network changes.

Commercial Decision Support

  • Provide scenario modelling and margin analysis for new and existing deals.
  • Support strategic pricing projects such as cohort profitability, LTV/CAC analysis, and transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with the Commercial team to provide data-driven insights.

Reporting & Analytics Infrastructure

  • Own and enhance pricing dashboards using Power BI.
  • Integrate Datarails and other reporting platforms to improve pricing data quality and reporting speed.
  • Collaborate with Data & BI teams to align reporting outputs with decision-making needs.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong commercial finance background, ideally within payments, fintech, or banking.
  • Proven experience in pricing, profitability analysis, or scheme/interchange fee management.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Experience with financial modelling, scenario planning, and commercial analytics.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of the merchant acquiring or broader payments ecosystem.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Capable of both strategic thinking and detailed execution.
