Process Engineer – Contract (Pharma/Biotech)

Process Engineer – Contract (Macclesfield, 3 Days On-Site) – Pharma/Biotech Experience.

DNA Life Sciences is partnering with a leading UK-based pharmaceutical company to support the design of a new facility. We are looking for multiple experienced Process Engineers to join this exciting project on a contract/self-employed basis. This role requires on-site presence in Macclesfield (3 days per week), with flexibility for remote work on other days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead process design activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and optimize basic and detailed engineering designs, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and system layouts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide technical expertise in process development, scale-up, and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in process engineering within a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotech, manufacturing).
• Strong knowledge of process design principles, including fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and system integration.
• Ability to interpret and develop technical documentation (P&IDs, process flow diagrams, specifications).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Availability to work on-site in Macclesfield (3 days per week).
