To carry out inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repair of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) and trailers, ensuring vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and compliant with DVSA and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Conduct MOT preparation and inspections (including PMIs)
  • Complete defect reports and service documentation accurately
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations
  • Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems effectively
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and equipment
  • Liaise with workshop management regarding vehicle condition and repair requirements
  • Ensure compliance with DVSA, VOSA, and company standards at all times
