DN Media Group provides specialist knowledge, breaking news and market insight to a world-wide audience and owns leading global publications including TradeWinds, Recharge, Intrafish, Hydrogen Insight and Upstream. We are looking for an experienced Conference Producer to join our London team on an 8-month maternity cover contract (March–October 2026). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced producer to lead the end-to-end development of conference programmes and deliver world-class content for international events.
Your Responsibilities
- Take over ongoing conferences from the current Conference Producer and deliver the projects onsite.
- For new projects to be assigned, develop compelling conference agendas aligned with DN Media Group’s editorial vision and brand positioning.
- In-depth market and industry research of key subject areas and hot topics within a particular industry sector.
- Identify and secure top-level speakers, panellists, and moderators from industry, government, and finance.
- Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure programme quality and audience engagement.
- Manage programming timelines, speaker communications, and content updates leading up to each event.
- Copy Writing – Writing promotional copy in the form of a conference program, in the language of the target audience, ensuring that all sales-driven materials such as web, direct mail and email copy will maximise delegate attendance.
- Remain up-to-date on industry trends; Research and develop ideas for new conferences that will qualify for the inclusion in the Event Portfolio of DN Global Publications.
Your background
- Proven experience of minimum 3 years in leading high profile B2B conference programming (not exhibition), ideally in B2B media organisation or international event organisations.
- If you have a background of producing high-end conferences in Shipping and/or Energy sector, this will be a definite plus.
- Excellent research and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines with precision and calm under pressure.
- Confident working with senior executives and thought leaders.
