DN Colleges Group is launching a recruitment campaign for Additional Learning Support Workers at Doncaster College and North Lindsey College (Scunthorpe). Essential Criteria:
- Good written and oral communication skills at GCSE level (or willingness to work towards this).
- Experience of working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
- Ability to create a supportive environment and work effectively with individuals or groups from diverse backgrounds.
- Understanding of the diverse needs of students experiencing learning difficulties.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently, with strong organisational skills and a professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students to remove barriers to learning and encourage active participation.
- Assist students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including personal care where required.
- Support retention and achievement through tailored interventions.
- Attend planning and monitoring meetings, and contribute to student support plans and reviews.
- Liaise with tutors and other staff regarding student needs and complete relevant administration.
- Support access arrangements for exams.
- Undertake mandatory and job-specific training and contribute to departmental reports and plans.

Let’s Bloom: The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
