DN Colleges Group is seeking a Lecturer in our Creative Arts department. This is on a part-time, fixed term basis. This role involves teaching and assessing students primarily in Illustration across Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. The successful candidate will also need to be flexible in their teaching and support students across various Art & Design specialisms. This vacancy is fixed term, up to 12 months. This role is working 4 days per week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday - total 28 hours per week. Actual salary: £24,878.99 - £34,434.25.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified to at least Degree level or similar in a related area, or extensive work experience in the Creative Arts sector.
- Experience of teaching and assessing within an Art & Design subject.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Creative Arts processes.
- Skilled in using Creative Digital software.
- High levels of organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
- Ability to work effectively with employers, students, and staff.
- Persuasive and diplomatic with a focus on overcoming barriers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Teach and assess students primarily in Illustration across Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
- Support students across various Art & Design specialisms.
- Undertake planning, preparation, and assessment to ensure effective teaching delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
- Participate in curriculum development initiatives and evaluation of courses.
